There are two ways to test for radon in your home:
- Short-term Testing
- Long-term Testing
Radon Diva starts by performing a 48-hour short-term radon test. Depending on the results from the initial test, we may recommend following-up the test with a long-term radon test.
Long-term radon testing will give you a reading that is more likely to tell you your home’s year-round average radon level. A long-term test remains in your home for more than 90 days (up to a full year).
Radon Diva uses Alpha Tracks (AT) to perform long-term radon testing. At the end of the testing period, the AT is returned to a lab for analysis. Results are available within 10 days of the device being sent back to the lab.
With long-term radon testing, closed home conditions are not required. Your family can live as normal, resulting in very little impact on you and your family.
